The Integrated Solutions, Modeling, and Architecture (ISMA) directorate assesses, develops, and evaluates solution architectures for our customers' largest, most complex challenges across all the operational domains. In the Operations and Mission Analysis Department you'll be part of a special team that analyzes the world's most challenging threats and helps define new capabilities to counter them, pushing the boundaries of innovation, and leading the industry in operational modeling and simulation using our purpose-built software. As a team member in the Air Dominance Modeling and Analysis section, you will join a high-performing team of engineers working with high-fidelity sensors, platform, and weapon simulations to provide actionable analysis to the Department of Defense and the Warfighter.

Raytheon is currently seeking a Senior Kill Chain Software Engineer. This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ, with the potential for occasional travel a few times a year.

What You Will Do
  • Actively participate as a senior member of an agile development team
  • Lead the design, development, and review of new software features in an all-digital distributed simulation environments.
  • Roadmap Development: Work with software and analysis leads to scope tasks and schedule to maintain a project roadmap that outlines schedules and milestones for a multi-vendor modeling, simulation, and analysis environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Associate Contractors and Customers ensure community capabilities are aligned and scope analysis projects appropriately.
  • Work with vendor and Raytheon programs to define requirements and capabilities for distributed modeling and simulation support.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.

    Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Python, C++)
  • Experience contributing to a team environment to develop creative and achievable solutions to complex technical, schedule, and cost problems.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Specific majors: Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering
  • Previous experience performing verification and validation of digital simulation models
  • Experience evaluating systems performance in complex environments
  • Experience with distributed modeling and simulation
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX, High Performance Computing, Git, SIMDIS, Air Dominance Testbed, Air Combat Evaluation Model, C++, Python
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Current or ability to obtain U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
