Summary
Position: Embedded Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Contract position
Job Description:
- Strong experience in Embedded C/C++ development on microcontrollers (Bare-metal/RTOS).
- Expertise in hardware interfacing: Sensors, Motors, Valves, ADC/DAC, PWM.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto), system integration, and boot processes.
- Proficient in communication protocols: UART, I2C, SPI, RS-485, SMBus.
- Good understanding of real-time systems, PID control, and feedback loop design.
- Experience with firmware architecture, bootloaders, and OTA/firmware upgrades.
- Strong debugging skills across MCU firmware, Linux applications, diagnostics, and fault handling.
- Knowledge of Linux security, Docker/containerization, and system-level integration is desirable.
- Exposure to IEC 62304 and other medical device software standards preferred.
- Prior experience in medical device product development.
- Ability to integrate .NET applications with firmware and hardware components.
