Position Summary

We are seeking experienced Healthcare Data Engineering & Quality Leads to support a large-scale healthcare data modernization initiative. The ideal candidates will be hands-on technical leaders with expertise in data engineering, data quality, and quality assurance practices within healthcare environments. These roles will play a critical part in migrating legacy on-premise data warehouse solutions to a modern Databricks-based platform while ensuring data accuracy, quality, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor technical teams while remaining actively involved in solution design, development, testing, and delivery.
  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and dynamic SQL frameworks using Databricks and SQL.
  • Support the migration of legacy on-premise Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments to cloud-based data platforms.
  • Develop and execute data quality validation strategies, reconciliation processes, and testing frameworks.
  • Establish and manage test cases, test plans, defect tracking, and quality assurance processes within DevOps environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyze healthcare data sources and integrations, including pharmacy, clinical, claims, provider, member, and operational data.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve data quality, integration, and testing issues.
  • Implement automation, continuous integration, and continuous testing best practices.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and establish standards for data engineering and quality assurance.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Quality Engineering, QA Leadership, or a related role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with SQL development and query optimization.
  • Experience working with Databricks or modern cloud-based data platforms.
  • Proven experience supporting data warehouse modernization, migration, or cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data validation, ETL testing, data reconciliation, and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Experience with test case management, defect lifecycle management, and release validation.
  • Healthcare industry experience is mandatory.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare data domains, including pharmacy, clinical, claims, provider, and member data.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure Data Services and cloud-native architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development, SQL generation, or test automation tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading distributed or offshore delivery teams.
