Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
Design, develop, test, and maintain Power BI dashboards and canned reports to support business analytics, operational reporting, and modernization requirements for the National Data Bank.
Develop and optimize DAX expressions, SQL queries, and new data elements to support reporting requirements, data analysis, and reliable access to business information.
Support Azure-based data services, data integration, warehousing, and ETL processes. Coordinate data sharing and reporting integrations with platforms such as Tableau, CRM systems, and SAS.
Participate in two-week Agile/Scrum sprints, perform peer code reviews, manage source code through enterprise GitHub repositories, and support GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines. Troubleshoot production defects, implement enhancements, and prepare software release documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and data-driven reporting solutions.
Experience with Azure services, SQL Server, ad hoc query development, data warehousing, ETL processes, and Agile/Scrum delivery practices.

Business / Domain Skills:
Experience supporting federal government analytics and reporting environments, including data modernization and reporting initiatives for USDA Food and Nutrition Administration (FNA) and the National Data Bank (NDB).
Experience developing business intelligence solutions, dashboards, canned reports, and ad hoc reporting capabilities to support program operations, data analysis, and organizational decision-making.
Experience supporting enterprise data sharing and reporting workflows across multiple business systems and analytics platforms, including coordination of data elements, reporting requirements, and information exchange.
Experience maintaining production reporting applications through Agile development, testing, defect resolution, release management, and ongoing system enhancements within federal technology environments.
Communication:
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation:
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
Work Authorization:
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing interactive dashboards, reusable reports, complex DAX calculations, and reporting solutions for enterprise analytics environments.
Experience integrating data from multiple sources and supporting data warehousing, ETL, and reporting workflows using cloud-based services.
Familiarity with Tableau, CRM platforms, SAS, enterprise source control, automated deployment pipelines, and peer code review practices. College-level education or equivalent practical experience is preferred
