Summary

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and coordinate Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within a scaled Agile environment. The RTE will act as a servant leader and coach for multiple Agile teams, facilitating Program Increment (PI) planning, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring smooth delivery of business value.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in Agile methodologies, stakeholder management, program coordination, and enterprise-scale delivery frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events including:
- PI Planning
- Scrum of Scrums
- System Demos
- Inspect & Adapt workshops
Coordinate across multiple Agile teams to ensure alignment and delivery
Identify, track, and resolve program-level risks, issues, and dependencies
Support Product Management and Product Owners in backlog prioritization and execution planning
Drive continuous improvement and Agile maturity across teams
Monitor ART metrics, velocity, predictability, and delivery performance
Ensure transparency through reporting, dashboards, and stakeholder communication
Coach Scrum Masters, team members, and leaders on Agile and SAFe practices
Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders
Escalate impediments and facilitate timely decision-making

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
5+ years of experience in Agile project/program delivery
2+ years of experience as a Release Train Engineer, Senior Scrum Master, or Agile Program Manager
Strong understanding of:
- Agile
- Scrum
- Kanban
- Lean principles
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience managing multiple cross-functional teams
Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills
Experience with Agile tools such as:
- Jira
- Azure DevOps
- Confluence

Preferred Qualifications

SAFe RTE Certification (SAFe® Release Train Engineer)
PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications
Experience in enterprise transformation programs
Background in software engineering or technical delivery
