About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Server Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade VMware environments, including vSphere 8.x and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9. This role requires deep expertise in virtualization, automation, and cloud integration within mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere 8.x clusters and VCF 9 environments.
  • Perform lifecycle management, patching, and upgrades for ESXi hosts, vCenter, and VCF components.
  • Configure and optimize Aria Operations for performance and resiliency.
  • Configure and optimize Zerto for performance and resiliency.
  • Implement disaster recovery strategies using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
  • Automate provisioning and configuration tasks using PowerCLI, PowerShell, vRealize Automation, etc.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, ensuring high availability and compliance.
  • Collaborate with network, storage, and security teams for integrated solutions.
  • Document designs, processes, and operational procedures.
  • On-call and off-hours work, as required.

Required Qualifications
  • 6 years of experience in server engineering and virtualization.
  • Expert-level knowledge of VMware vSphere 8.x and VCF 9 architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with Aria Operations.
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerCLI, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage, networking, and security best practices.
  • A strong understanding of DNS & DHCP.
  • A good understanding of general networking. IP, subnet mask, gateway, firewall, load balancer, etc.
  • A good understanding of how storage works with a VMware environment. LUNs, WWN, SAN, HBAs, storage policies, etc.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with hybrid cloud integrations (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills.
