Project/Team Overview:

• Team supports all Capital One LOBs, including Card, Retail, and Cyber.
• Additional resource needed due to increased telecom contracts, suppliers, and billing data coming from Discover integration.
• Primarily monthly invoice review, validation, and approval; not traditional financial analysis or FP&A.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review telecom contracts to understand services, agreed rates, and billing terms.
• Match monthly vendor invoices against contract terms and verify billing accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies, validate charges, and approve invoices for payment.
• Communicate with telecom vendors/suppliers regarding billing questions and variances.
• Perform basic invoice reconciliation and reporting using Excel/Google Sheets.
• No contract management, legal expertise, or contract negotiation required.

Must-Have Skills:

• Hands-on invoice processing, billing validation, and reconciliation experience.
• Ability to read contracts and compare invoices against contractual pricing.
• Excel/Google Sheets proficiency for basic analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and vendor communication skills.

Preferred / Trainable:

• Telecom billing / Telecom Expense Management (TEM) experience - highly preferred, NOT mandatory.
• Calero TEM platform - primary tool used; HM will provide training.
• No specific ERP requirement.
• No strict minimum years of experience confirmed; HM open to trainable candidates.

HM Preferences:

• Richmond, VA candidates only; McLean is NOT acceptable.
• Telecom billing background is a strong differentiator.
• Open to billing, AP, invoice reconciliation, and contract compliance backgrounds from other industries.
• Comfortable handling repetitive monthly invoice approvals and vendor coordination.
• Candidates must be available for a January 2027 start.

• Rate flexibility possible for highly qualified candidates.
