A bit about us:

Our client is the U.S. subsidiary of a globally recognized medical device manufacturer with over four decades of precision engineering heritage. Headquartered in Orange County, California, with offices in Irvine and an R&D center in Tustin, this company designs and produces disposable vascular medical devices including guidewires, guiding catheters, microcatheters, and balloon catheters. Their product portfolio supports interventional procedures across cardiology, peripheral vascular, cerebrovascular, and gastrointestinal applications.

As part of a parent organization that operates in over 100 countries and employs more than 6,000 people worldwide, this company brings a distinct culture of craftsmanship and precision to everything it manufactures. Their U.S. operation also provides OEM and ODM manufacturing services, producing specialized medical components including tubing, wire, cable, coil, and braided assemblies for partners across the industry. The company maintains strict compliance with FDA and international quality standards, and is committed to producing devices that improve patient outcomes.

Why join us?

This 6-month contract offers the opportunity to work directly on life-saving medical products while building experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. You will have a visible impact on daily production performance, process robustness, and product quality by driving improvements on the shop floor. The role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being close to operations, collaborating with operators and technicians, and translating data into practical solutions.

You will gain exposure to validation, documentation, and quality systems that are critical in the medical device industry, positioning you well for future roles in manufacturing, quality, or process development. Our client offers a professional yet approachable culture, where engineering input is valued and where ideas to reduce scrap, streamline workflow, and improve yield are actively encouraged. High performers in this contract role may be considered for future opportunities as the business continues to grow.
