Summary

IntePros is seeking a Senior Laboratory Systems Engineer to support a major laboratory systems upgrade initiative focused on cloud-based data management, regulatory compliance, and software platform upgrades across analytical instruments.
This role will provide hands-on IT infrastructure and laboratory systems support for the implementation of a secure, cloud-based environment supporting Agilent laboratory software applications across multiple analytical platforms. Key initiatives include implementing centralized cloud infrastructure, deploying OpenLab ECM, installing ChemLaunch, supporting software upgrades across GC-MS, LC-MS, GC-MS QTOF, and ICP-MS instruments, and coordinating historical data migration into a validated environment.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience implementing and administering Agilent ECM and related software in a regulated environment. This individual will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to establish a reliable, compliant, and scalable foundation for laboratory data management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate environment readiness for OpenLab ECM, ChemLaunch, and Agilent software deployments.
  • Partner with internal IT teams and external vendors to support phased software upgrades across GC-MS, LC-MS, GC-MS QTOF, and ICP-MS platforms.
  • Support the implementation of cloud-based infrastructure for secure laboratory data storage, retrieval, and archiving.
  • Prepare IT infrastructure and laboratory systems for testing, validation, training, and go-live activities.
  • Assist with historical data migration planning and technical readiness.
  • Help maintain compliant and secure system access, data storage, and backup processes.
  • Track technical dependencies, project risks, issues, and milestone readiness across the IT workstream.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions using established procedures while identifying opportunities to improve existing processes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for complex digital technologies and laboratory systems support.
  • Utilize service management tools to track workloads, incidents, and support activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project deliverables and ensure system readiness.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to IT security requirements.
  • Follow applicable company policies, standard operating procedures, quality standards, and environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
  • At least five years of experience supporting or deploying Agilent ECM in IT operations, preferably within a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Agilent OpenLab ECM, OpenLab CDS, or MassHunter.
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, or laboratory systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with access management, data storage, backup solutions, and application hosting.
  • Ability to work in a regulated, documentation-driven environment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently within established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a science-related field.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, laboratory, GMP, or other regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with computerized system validation (CSV), GAMP 5, and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and adapt to changing project requirements.
Work Environment and Schedule
  • Hybrid work arrangement requiring onsite presence three days per week.
  • Six-month contract-to-hire opportunity.
  • Approximately 5% travel, or up to 13 business days per year.
  • Primarily sedentary work, with occasional lifting or moving of items weighing up to 10 pounds.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to information security, quality, safety, regulatory compliance, and established company policies and procedures.
