About the Role

Highspring is hiring a Senior BI Engineer to design and deliver scalable Power BI reporting and enterprise data models. This role focuses on SQL development, semantic modeling, fact/dim design, and turning business logic into actionable data structures.

What You’ll Do

• Build efficient data models, star schemas, and reusable data flows.
• Develop high-performance SQL (stored procedures, optimization, data prep).
• Create reliable Power BI dashboards and paginated reports.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions.
• Document measures, logic, and model designs.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders across the business.
• Ensure data accuracy, quality, and scalability.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years BI / analytics experience
• 3+ years Power BI + enterprise data modeling
• Expert-level SQL (must score 90%+ on assessment)
• Strong dimensional modeling (facts/dimensions, semantic layer)
• Ability to read/refactor existing business logic (e.g., legacy code)
• Excellent communication — able to gather requirements from execs
• Strong analytical and problem?solving skills
• Experience across multiple systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.)
