Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced EDI Developer with strong expertise in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator to support enterprise-level EDI integrations and supply chain data exchange. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting EDI solutions using IBM Sterling Integrator, working with various EDI standards, communication protocols, and business processes.
This role involves developing and maintaining EDI integrations, monitoring transactions, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver reliable B2B integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain EDI integrations using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • Build and manage business processes (BPML), services, and adapters within the Sterling Integrator platform.
  • Develop and maintain EDI maps and transformations for formats including ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, CSV, Flat Files, and JSON.
  • Configure and manage communication protocols such as FTP, SFTP, AS2, and VAN.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve EDI transaction failures and system performance issues.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, supply chain teams, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable integration solutions.
  • Support EDI onboarding for trading partners and manage partner configurations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior EDI developers.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure system stability, data accuracy, and compliance with integration standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 15+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (version 5.2.6 or higher).
  • Strong expertise in EDI development and B2B integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with Sterling Business Processes (BPML), pipelines, and adapters.
  • Experience working with EDI formats:
    • ANSI X12
    • EDIFACT
    • XML
    • CSV
    • Flat Files
    • JSON
  • Knowledge of communication protocols:
    • AS2
    • FTP / SFTP
    • VAN
  • Strong experience with DB2, SQL, XML, XSLT, Web Services, and APIs.
  • Experience in EDI monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Retail EDI environments.
  • Experience with EDI trading partner onboarding and configuration.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring EDI development teams.
