This role develops and modifies architectural specifications, defines standards for new cloud products and service offerings, and ensures integration across interdependent technologies. The architect partners closely with security, infrastructure, application, and data teams to ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with enterprise and government cloud strategies. High focused on Architecture and support Azure Active Directory B2C solutions, including authentication flows, external identity providers, MFA, and secure access patterns for consumer-facing systems.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Cloud Design and Engineering
- Lead and support acceleration of HGB cloud adoption initiatives.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, solution engineering leaders, infrastructure leaders, and product and business owners to understand requirements and advance cloud strategy.
- Design and govern secure cloud architectures supporting applications, infrastructure, identity, and data platforms.
- Architect and support Azure Active Directory B2C solutions, including authentication flows, external identity providers, MFA, and secure access patterns for consumer-facing systems.
- Partner with enterprise security, networking, cloud teams, and internal HGB teams to define cloud security and infrastructure strategies.
- Assist in migration strategies for existing HGB assets, including movement from TFS to Azure Government Cloud DevOps.
- Define specifications for new cloud products and service offerings aligned to enterprise standards and business needs.
- Ensure solutions align with security standards, compliance requirements, and approved architectural patterns.
- Create solution prototypes and provide hands-on support for engineering and implementation efforts when needed.
- Coordinate across technical and business teams to ensure alignment, delivery timelines, and architectural consistency.
- Research industry best practices and emerging technologies to inform architectural decisions.
- Advance adoption of new tools, techniques, and processes to improve delivery speed, reliability, and security.
- Provide estimates and architectural input for project planning and work intake.
- Audit solutions and provide feedback on security posture, design adherence, and architectural quality.
- Support cloud resource management across regions, including infrastructure and data migration, disaster recovery planning and testing, and network design.
2. Security, Identity, and Integration
- Embed security-by-design principles into cloud, application, and data architectures.
- Support identity and access management strategies with a strong focus on Azure B2C and consumer identity security.
- Design secure integration patterns leveraging DataPower and API management capabilities.
- Ensure logging, monitoring, encryption, and incident response considerations are built into cloud solutions.
3. Training and Coaching
- Educating teams on cloud, security, and architecture best practices.
- Mentor engineers and architects through design reviews and technical coaching.
- Drive adoption of approved tools, platforms, and patterns within Azure Government Cloud.
- Identify improvement opportunities by reviewing solution performance and benchmarking against industry standards.

- Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (NBIS - National Background Investigation Services)
- Minimum 5+ years of technical and development experience with a significant portion related to cloud engineering, architecture, administration and development
- 2+ Years of experience of Agile Project/Product implementation
- Experience supporting or designing solutions with Azure AD B2C.
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and identity concepts.
- Bachelor's degree

Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$129,300 - $177,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
