Job Description:
A client is seeking two Guidewire Portal Developers to support application development and ongoing enhancements for Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter within the broader Insurance Suite ecosystem. This is a high-level developer opportunity where they will partner with Software Development, QA, and Architectural teams throughout each phase of the development/implementation lifecycle—from requirements and design through build, testing, and release.
In this role, you will help design and develop portal experiences that align with Guidewire core systems, ensuring scalable, maintainable solutions. The ideal candidate has strong Guidewire experience (PolicyCenter/BillingCenter), understands workflows and batch processes, and is comfortable working within a structured SDLC environment. This person will contribute to technical design discussions, produce quality code, support testing and defect remediation, and help drive solutions that meet both technical and business needs.
This position is hybrid (onsite 2–3 days per week in the Lake Mary office). Candidates should be located in the Orlando/Lake Mary area or able to commute reliably. The engagement is a 6–12 month contract with extensions.
Must Haves:
- Guidewire development experience (PolicyCenter/BillingCenter)
- Experience with workflows and batch processes
- Strong understanding of SDLC and enterprise delivery practices
- 3–5+ years of strong development experience
- JavaScript experience (TypeScript preferred)
- Portal/UI development experience (designing/building portals, integrating to core systems)
- Ability to collaborate closely with Software Engineers, QA, and Architecture teams
Plusses:
- TypeScript hands-on depth (framework experience is a plus)
- Experience aligning portal experiences with insurance core systems / Guidewire InsuranceSuite
- Strong passion for programming, learning, and career growth (“all-star” mentality)
- Experience with Guidewire Portal/PCF/UI patterns (if applicable) and integration best practices
