Devops Engineer
Introduction:
As a Devops Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with software developers, system operators, and other IT staff members to manage code releases. You will also be involved in automating and streamlining operations and processes, as well as building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software developers to deploy and operate systems.
- Help automate and streamline operations and processes.
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
- Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of production systems.
- Design and implement infrastructure as code to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement Devops best practices.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Strong background in Devops methodologies and practices.
- Experience with automation/configuration management using tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
- Knowledge of networking and security best practices.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Certifications in Devops or cloud platforms.
