Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP BODS Administrator to take ownership of our SAP Data Services landscape deployed on AWS infrastructure. The candidate will ensure high availability, security, and optimization of ETL processes, managing the full development-to-production lifecycle of repositories on AWS EC2 instances.
Key Responsibilities
BODS Administration: Install, configure, upgrade, and patch SAP BODS (Data Services) on AWS EC2 instances.
Repository Management: Create and maintain local, central, and profiler repositories.
AWS Infrastructure Management: Manage AWS EC2 instances, configure security groups, monitor EBS volumes, and use S3 for backup/archiving.
ETL Monitoring: Monitor Job Servers and Access Servers, manage scheduling, and troubleshoot job failures/performance bottlenecks.
Performance Tuning: Optimize BODS jobs and server-level settings within AWS to improve performance.
Security & Compliance: Manage user access and roles through CMS, adhering to security best practices for both BODS and AWS.
Documentation: Maintain SOPs, run-books, and documentation for deployments and upgrades.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 8+ years of experience as a SAP BODS/BODI Administrator, with at least 1-2 years managing systems on AWS.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of SAP Data Services 4.x/IPS, and AWS services (EC2, S3, EBS, CloudWatch).
Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL and experience with databases like SAP HANA, Oracle, or SQL Server.
Operating Systems: Windows/Strong command of Linux/RHEL for administering BODS on EC2.
Scripting: Experience in scripting (Shell/Python) for automating routine AWS/BODS tasks.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP HANA migration and BODS integration with SAP BOBJ.
