Senior Software QA Analyst – Cloud Migration, Test Automation & AI-Assisted Quality Engineering
As a Senior Software QA Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and security of a business-critical application being migrated from distributed on-premises infrastructure to cloud-native platforms in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
This is not a traditional manual testing role. We are seeking a modern Quality Engineering professional who embraces automation-first delivery and leverages AI-assisted testing tools to accelerate test creation, improve coverage, reduce defects, and enable highly repeatable regression testing. You will partner closely with developers, architects, business analysts, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and project management teams throughout the migration and modernization lifecycle.
What You'll Do
Quality Engineering & Test Strategy
• Develop comprehensive test strategies supporting cloud migration, application modernization, and production deployment activities.
• Design and execute functional, integration, system, regression, UAT, performance, and validation testing.
• Validate data integrity, business processes, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native application functionality.
• Participate in application assessments, migration planning, deployment rehearsals, cutover testing, and post-production stabilization.
Test Automation Leadership
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and reusable test assets.
• Create automated regression suites that support ongoing releases and future enhancements.
• Implement automated validation for APIs, databases, user interfaces, workflows, and integrations.
• Continuously improve test coverage, automation effectiveness, and release quality metrics.
AI-Assisted Quality Engineering
• Utilize Copilot, Codex, and similar AI-enabled tools to generate first-draft test cases, test scripts, test data, automation code, validation logic, and testing documentation.
• Leverage AI to accelerate defect analysis, requirements review, test optimization, risk identification, and regression coverage planning.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled quality engineering practices across the delivery team.
Agile Delivery & Collaboration
• Use Jira to manage stories, defects, testing activities, and release readiness.
• Utilize QTest for test management, traceability, reporting, execution tracking, and audit readiness.
• Develop and maintain automated test assets using Tosca and other enterprise automation frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with development teams using GitLab-based CI/CD and DevSecOps workflows.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience.
• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining automated testing solutions.
• Deep expertise with QTest, Tosca, Jira, and GitLab.
• Experience supporting enterprise application migration to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of API testing, database testing, integration testing, and regression automation.
• Experience designing requirements traceability and test coverage models.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate test creation and automation development.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or regulated industries.
• Experience testing cloud-native applications, microservices, and containerized solutions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, observability platforms, and cloud landing zones.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar database platforms.
