Please do not share outside of the organization.Your Role:MilliporeSigma in Bedford, MA is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our TFF Filtration R&D team. As part of our R&D organization, you will be responsible for research and development projects directed to the development of novel filtration technologies suitable for the manufacture of therapeutic biopharmaceuticals. You will apply your creativity, knowledge, and skills to tackle challenging projects, utilizing established scientific and engineering principles to address complex tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with teams from R&D, Manufacturing, Product Management, Sales, Quality, and Procurement to advance product ideas through development and validation phases, ultimately leading to successful commercialization.
This position will include travel both domestically and internationally, 10-30%
Who You Are: Minimum Qualifications:- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or other Engineering field with 3+ years of experience in new product development
OR
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or Chemical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:- 2 years of experience in CAD and conducting design work using SolidWorks and/or Creo
- 2 years of experience in DOE for new product development
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to solve complicated technical problems
- New product development experience
- Fluency in Minitab or equivalent statistical software.
- Experience in modeling using MATLAB or other software
- Fluency in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- R&D or manufacturing experience in filtration device making
- Basic understanding of intellectual property and patent filings
- Develop and maintain broad knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories through literature, conferences, and workshops
- Hands-on problem solver, skilled in modern laboratory techniques and procedures
- Project management experience
- Good communication skills; both verbal and written
- Team player who works well with all levels throughout the organization
Pay Range for this position: $83,000 - $126,800
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
