- Providesday-to-day operational management for the project team within the scope ofassigned projects.
- Plans,organizes, and coordinates all aspects of assigned, highly complex technologyprojects to implement the Data Center IT Plan and provide IT services inresponse to customer project requests.
- Ensuresthat the goals and objectives of assigned projects are accomplished on time andwithin budget.
- Managesthe project planning process, including: identifying needed resources,developing a project plan, coordinating with stakeholders to reach agreement onrequirements and task assignments, managing and coordinating team activities,and executing the project plan.
- Developsand manages all appropriate project management documents, including projectplan, resource estimates, project budget, project schedule, team roster andassignments, issue management, risk management, change control, and periodicstatus reports. Assumes key role in the development of the project budget andits presentation as necessary.
- Servesas a key liaison between the project team and the customer to provide updatesand obtain feedback, ensuring proper and timely communication. Uses leadershipand communication skills to help communicate management goals and interactswith the users in the development of business applications.
- Providesregular communication to the organization regarding progress and status ofprojects.
- Worksclosely with the users to ensure that the design and development of the new orenhanced applications adequately meet the business requirements.
- Coordinatesactivities of the project team across functional areas and disciplines toaccomplish project goals.
- Coordinateswith customers to develop new systems and to ensure existing systems meet theirneeds.
- Providesleadership and coaching to assigned team members.
- Worksclosely with business, administrative, and technical staff members to ensurecustomer needs are met.
- Performsother duties as assigned.
