Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Clearwater, FL (Onsite)

Duration: Full time

Job Description:

We are supporting Aerosonic, a long-standing aerospace instrumentation manufacturer, in their search for a Senior Quality Engineer to join their onsite quality team in Clearwater, FL.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a regulated AS9100 aerospace manufacturing environment supporting both commercial and defense programs.

What they’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of Quality Engineering experience (aerospace or defense strongly preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems
• Proven ownership of CAPA, RCCA, 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and root-cause investigations
• Experience supporting First Article Inspections (AS9102)
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and leadership
• Ability to qualify as FAA-approved DMIR (must be able to interview with the FAA within the first 3 months)
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) knowledge
• Must be a U.S. Person (ITAR)

Nice to have:

• Aerospace or defense manufacturing background
• Precision machining experience
• APQP experience
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
• Exposure to brazing and welding standards

Environment:

• Onsite role in a manufacturing environment
• 9/80 work schedule
• Requires time on the production floor
• Some schedule flexibility required for DMIR responsibilities
