Hybrid Every other week onsite in Merrimack, NH of Smithfield, RI

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with a strong focus on DevOps to join our data team. This unique position addresses a critical need for DevOps support while also contributing to backend development. You will work on greenfield projects, developing producer APIs using Java/Spring Boot, and support our custom-built ETL framework. This role requires collaboration across multiple teams, making strong communication skills essential.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70.00 to $75.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain producer APIs using Java/Spring Boot for greenfield projects.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of a custom-built ETL framework.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to manage and optimize infrastructure using Terracore and Jenkins.
  • Utilize major AWS services to enhance application performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with six different teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Use PGAdmin and Insomnia for database management and API testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Java/Spring Boot:
    • Experience with greenfield development, particularly in building producer APIs.

ETL Framework Experience:
    • Strong understanding of ETL processes and experience with custom-built ETL frameworks.

DevOps Tools:
    • Proficiency with Terracore and Jenkins for infrastructure management and CI/CD pipelines.

Cloud Services:
    • Experience with all major AWS services for cloud-based development and deployment.

Communication Skills:
    • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate across six different teams and tech leads.

Database Tools:
    • Proficiency with PGAdmin and Insomnia for database management and API testing.

Nice-to-Have:
    • Experience with Python, Karate, and Batch processing.

  • Experience leading design or architecture with attention to reliability and scaling.
  • Experience with DevOps principles and activities.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with source control and pull requests in GitHub.
