Cable Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an Entry-Level Structured Cabling Technician to support low-voltage installation projects. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in structured cabling and telecommunications under the guidance of senior technicians.
Construction or Laborer Experience: $23-25/hr
Low-Voltage Experience: $26-$30/hr
Responsibilities:

• Pull, dress, and label Cat5e/Cat6 cabling in accordance with TIA/EIA standards
• Assist with RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations under supervision
• Perform cable labeling and identification
• Learn and complete basic punch-downs on telecom blocks
• Support cable testing using basic tools (Fluke, EXFO) with guidance
• Assist with fiber optic cable dressing and basic fiber handling
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Take direction from senior technicians and supervisors on job sites

Schedule

• Monday-Saturday
• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 2nd Shift available
• Overtime and Saturday work may be required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cable termination and punch-downs
• Prior construction or trade experience
• Must not have worked in a META data center within the past 6 months

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
