- Support rack energization and de-energization activities, including power whip installation and replacement.
- Conduct power audits for single-source work activities and verify electrical redundancy prior to work execution.
- Perform busway striping audits and field validation activities before and after construction and deployment efforts.
- Verify proper busway and bus tap installation, equipment labeling, rack grounding, and identify issues requiring corrective action during deployment activities.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of CE-related operational issues.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to CE Engineers as required.
- Electrical and mechanical vendor oversight and management to ensure that work is being done per Microsoft standards
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience supporting critical environments, datacenter operations, facilities operations, construction, electrical, mechanical, or other mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a specialized technical discipline such as electrical, mechanical, controls, facilities, or related infrastructure systems.
- Working knowledge of safety practices, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and safe work procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, one-line diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience supporting maintenance, commissioning, inspections, audits, or infrastructure deployment activities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting datacenter, mission-critical, or Critical Environment operations.
- Experience with busway systems, bus taps, power whips, rack power distribution, or similar electrical infrastructure.
- Experience supporting contractors, vendors, landlords, or third-party service providers.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, equipment validations, or field quality assessments.
- Experience developing and maintaining MOPs, SOPs, or other operational procedures.
- Technical training through an electrical trade, military service, apprenticeship, trade school, or equivalent program.

Position SummaryCET III resources to support datacenter critical environment and AI deployment activities.
The role is approximately 80% electrical, focused on white-space infrastructure up to 415V. All work is performed under established procedures with on-site engineering guidance and approval.
Key Responsibilities- Install, remove, replace, and validate bus taps and busway infrastructure.
- Install and replace power whips; support rack energization and de-energization.
- Conduct power audits and verify electrical redundancy prior to work execution.
- Perform busway striping audits and pre/post-construction field validation.
- Verify busway/bus tap installation, equipment labeling, and rack grounding; document issues requiring corrective action.
- Troubleshoot and resolve CE-related operational issues.
- Track work and provide status updates through client ticketing systems.
- Provide electrical and mechanical vendor oversight to ensure work meets client standards.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to CE Engineers.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 3+ years supporting critical environments, datacenter operations, facilities, construction, electrical, mechanical, or mission-critical infrastructure.
- 1+ year in a specialized technical discipline (electrical, mechanical, controls, or facilities).
- Hands-on electrical competency - safe use of multimeters, line-to-line and line-to-ground voltage testing, and correct PPE selection (arc flash, leather gloves).
- Working knowledge of LOTO and safe work practices.
- Ability to read and execute MOPs, one-line diagrams, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E certifications (can be provided by Apex if needed)
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills; proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Willingness to work at both Irving and Red Oak campuses.
Preferred Qualifications- Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW), journeyman electrician, or equivalent electrical trade, military, apprenticeship, or trade school training.
- Datacenter, mission-critical, or CE operations experience.
- Experience with busway systems, bus taps, power whips, and rack power distribution.
