Cloud Architect (Google Cloud Platform-Azure Migration GitOps-Driven) || NYC, NY || Contract

Role Overview:
Own the end-to-end cloud migration architecture, defining how Google Cloud Platform workloads, IaC, CI/CD, and networking transition into Azure using GitOps as the deployment backbone.

Responsibilities:

Define Azure target-state architecture for SaaS workloads
Design IaC strategy using ASO (Azure Service Operator) and Terraform
Define GitOps operating model using Flux CD and Helm
Establish multi-environment SDLC architecture (3 primary + 3 DR)Design DR failover/failback patterns
Define cross-cloud connectivity patterns (VPN/ExpressRoute)Ensure compliance with Azure best practices
Provide architectural governance over CI/CD transformation

Required Skills:

Deep Azure architecture experience
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes & GitOps patterns
Experience migrating from Google Cloud Platform to Azure
Strong Terraform expertise
Experience designing DR & HA architectures
Strong cloud networking understanding
