We’re Hiring: Epidemiologist 1 (Hybrid – Nashville, TN)

Position Overview

Role: Epidemiologist 1 (Contract)

Location: Nashville, TN

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Remote with monthly on-site visits in Nashville; Must reside in TN)

Interview Process: Webcam or In-Person

Schedule: Mon–Fri | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST (37.5 hrs/week)

The Crux of the Position

You will manage, clean, and build out data collection systems for community care coordination programs. This role involves maintaining data modules, running routine and ad-hoc public health reports, and supporting team transitions to new data management systems.

Key Skills & Requirements

REDCap Expertise: Advanced experience building, modifying, and managing custom REDCap data collection modules.

SAS Programming: Proficient in writing independent SAS code, cleaning data, and generating output reports.

Data Management & Analysis: Strong skills in navigating complex databases, creating data visualizations, and handling ad-hoc data requests.

Technical Assistance: Ability to translate technical system requirements for non-technical team members and regional staff.

Education & Experience

Option A: Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health Biostatistics, Statistics, or Health Information.

Option B: Master’s degree in Health, Biomedical, or Environmental Science + 2 years of experience in epidemiology, biostatistics, or health informatics.

Additional Highlights

State Residency: Applicants must currently reside in Tennessee (or re-establish residency prior to start date). Travel to the Nashville office is required monthly (unreimbursed).

Background Verification: Requires standard 7-year background screening prior to start.
