Product Operations Principal Engineer

When Dell Technologies launches new game-changing products into the global market, Global Operations Engineering has a vital role to play. Within Dell's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), the Global Operations Engineering (GOE) team is responsible for end-to-end factory enablement for new product launches across all worldwide Dell and partner factories . From influencing design manufacturability and developing test strategies to ensuring factory and supply chain readiness, GOE drives flawless delivery of complex infrastructure solutions. This role will focus on Dell ISG's next-generation AI rack scale solutions, enabling manufacturing in L11 factories and ODM partner sites.

What you'll achieve:

As a Product Ops Principal Engineer, you will lead end-to-end factory enablement for complex AI rack scale solutions, driving product readiness from pre-production builds through Ready-to-Ship (RTS) and into sustained production . You will serve as the single point of contact coordinating across extensive cross-functional extended teams to ensure on-time, clean product launches. You will own phase gate deliverables, manage factory quality metrics, and drive process and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

You will:
  • Work in CT (Core Team) as the single point of contact, driving schedule execution and phase gate deliverables for AI rack scale solutions .
  • Plan and execute pre-production builds, manage factory escalations and issue resolution across L11 and ODM factories .
  • Engage with regional factory NPI extended teams to ensure manufacturing infrastructure, test content, and materials readiness .
  • Drive continuous process and quality improvement through DFM activities, safe launch management, and block/COB execution across worldwide factory operations .

Essential Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in NPI, product operations, or related manufacturing and supply chain roles.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes, including factory readiness, pre-production builds, and product launch execution.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence outcomes at all levels without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment across globally distributed teams.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent qualifications combined with relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with AI/GPU rack scale or high-density infrastructure solutions in factory environments.
