Overview

TEKsystems is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join a growing Information Technology team. This position supports employees across the organization by providing technical assistance and helping maintain computer systems, software, network connectivity, and technology equipment.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technical problems, delivering excellent customer support, and gaining hands-on experience in an enterprise technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Set up and support workstations, monitors, printers, scanners, and other technology equipment
  • Provide technical support to end users through in-person, phone, and remote support channels
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, and network connectivity issues
  • Assist users with productivity and business applications
  • Create and maintain user accounts, passwords, and access permissions
  • Support endpoint security, system updates, and software deployments
  • Connect users to network resources and provide guidance on company systems and technology
  • Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and support procedures
  • Collaborate with internal IT team members and third-party partners on technology initiatives
  • Assist with procurement and inventory management of technology assets and supplies
  • Escalate complex technical issues when appropriate
  • Support technology initiatives across multiple locations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality support

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to walk regularly throughout an operational facility
  • Comfortable interacting with employees in various work environments
  • Ability to travel periodically to additional company locations

Ideal Candidate: A hands-on IT professional with experience providing end-user support, resolving technical issues, supporting desktop environments, and delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic business setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Tell City, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
