Overview

Mastercard Foundry is the innovation engine of Mastercard and a hub for new product development. We do this by driving product innovation in emerging technologies and interfaces while focusing on developing a point of view to enhance existing solutions and new use-cases. We also focus on building revenue generating ecosystems and flywheels that can be standalone in adjacent segments and markets. Examples of focus areas include commercial payments, new payment flows, real time payments, data and services.

Within Foundry, the Director, Product Development, will be supporting the execution of new to market product development across Mastercard Security Solutions and Services. The role includes identification, execution, and in-market delivery of new products and solutions. The responsibilities encompass execution of near-term opportunities that drive significant in year revenue and strategic differentiation for Mastercard, as well as scoping, identification, in-market testing of longer-term product concepts and solutions.

Role:

Partner with global and regional Cyber Product teams to understand the space, customer pain points and market dynamics.
Engage in idea generation for new products and services including workshop facilitation and collateral development.
Develop product concepts and prototypes and independently own and deliver key tasks associated with it.
Partner with Product & Engineering and our CX&D team on concept validation and market testing and independently own and deliver key tasks associated with it.
Contribute/own business case development and planning for individual products.
Own and deliver high quality collateral materials to facilitate internal and external decision making.
Foster innovation and new idea generation through Design thinking workshops, Core Drives, Sandbox Challenges
Lead cross functional workshops and manage follow up actions to completion.
Partner with CXD, Product and R&D teams by providing prioritized requirements.
Work within a matrixed organization to influence and drive outcomes within tight timelines.

All About You

Strong product development and management experience, including rapid opportunity identification, concept development, product requirements and user stories, business model innovation, and in market testing of global products is preferred.
In-depth understanding of payment ecosystem, flows and security solutions
Understanding of Cyber domain and prior experience in the space required
Previous experience working in Payments innovation space delivering new to market value propositions strongly preferred
Strong collaborator to move things at speed while managing ambiguity
Visionary and can connect the dots across domains
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Compelling storyteller, linking the dots to fit the broader Security Solutions and Mastercard narrative.
Critical thinker that is comfortable with technical details, and experience working with R&D teams
Flair in connecting people and ideas; ability to operate in a matrix environment.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. O'Fallon, Missouri: $156,000 - $265,000 USD

Purchase, New York: $179,000 - $305,000 USD
