Job Title: Salesforce DevOps Production Support Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA / Charlotte, NC (5 days onsite)
Shift: Regular/Second Shift (with On call & Weekend Support)
Job Description & Key Responsibilities:
Experienced Salesforce DevOps Engineer to play a key role in managing production environments, coordinating deployments, and ensuring system reliability across enterprise applications. The role involves supporting CI/CD pipelines, Salesforce Application deployments, troubleshooting deployment failures, and maintaining continuous availability in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
The candidate will be responsible for:
Strong experience working with Salesforce application deployments (Metadata)
Providing L2/L3 production support for build, deployment, and infrastructure operations across multiple environments.
Managing and executing application deployments and coordinating release activities with development and QA teams.
Monitoring production systems for performance, availability, and stability; identifying and resolving incidents proactively.
Supporting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI.
Troubleshooting and resolving build or deployment failures in real-time to minimize business impact.
Automating repetitive operational tasks using scripting (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) and DevOps utilities.
Administering source control and artifact repositories.
Supporting cloud infrastructure environments, assisting with environment setup, and patching.
Performing root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implementing permanent fixes.
Participating in on-call rotations and providing weekend production support for deployments or incidents.
Maintaining comprehensive documentation for build, release, and operational processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience in DevOps, Build & Release Management, or Production Support roles.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD automation, infrastructure management, and deployment orchestration.
Hands-on experience with tools such as GitLab, Nexus, or Artifactory.
Familiarity with cloud platforms
Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to work second shift, participate in on-call, and support weekend releases.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, Dynatrace etc)
Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Salesforce or MuleSoft deployments within a cloud or hybrid ecosystem.
Scripting or automation experience in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
