About the role:

As a Licensing Engineer you will contribute to the licensing and regulatory strategy of the operating nuclear fleet, ensuring compliance with domestic and international standards. If you are passionate about nuclear innovation and ready to play an important role in the evolution of clean energy, we invite you to bring your expertise to our dynamic and growing team.

You will report to the Operating Plants Licensing Manager for Global Licensing and will directly support the exciting growth in global nuclear power, with a focus on the US fleet.

Hybrid work arrangements (typically 2 days in an office) are available in Cranberry Woods, PA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support more senior engineering personnel in development efforts creating licensing documents for submittal to Westinghouse customers and regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate and build relationships with multiple engineering teams to create licensing inputs
  • Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory meetings to present technical materials
  • Communicate nature and status of work performed to appropriate technical lead and management
  • Perform work within established scope, budgetary and schedule requirements
  • Evaluate engineering design changes for regulatory requirements
  • Help resolve emergent issues with the potential to improve an operating plant license

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering
  • 0+ years experience required
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Learn US and International regulatory processes for nuclear power plants
  • Considering a career in the nuclear power industry
  • Ability to travel within US (<10% travel expected to support customer, industry, or regulator activities)

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
