The electrical design work will be in support of developing maintenance equipment to include connections between equipment and aircraft subsystems, network infrastructure, and computing hardware supporting instrumentation and network system connections. Additionally, the engineer will provide support for fabrication, installation/connection, and required verification to deliver a ready-for-test setup. The equipment and software for the CMCS is used to support all phases of platform/weapon development and sustainment lifecycle. This individual will work in a team environment to develop, test, and repair the hardware design for the CMCS system.

A System Design Electrical Engineer in this role works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements, and then analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

A System Design Electrical Engineer also performs tests and validations to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements, as well as monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

A System Design Electrical Engineers solves problems concerning other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle, while researching specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Hardware/software integration support
Design and documentation of electrical systems, components, connections, and
interfaces
System schematic analysis and design
System requirements analysis and development
System selloff/verification
System test requirements analysis and development interface design
Develop electrical wiring required to adapt to test articles & sub-assemblies
Support of lab or flight test instrumentation and data acquisition
Selection of electrical hardware (cables, connectors, shielding, terminal blocks, etc.)
Installation support and collaboration with lab test personnel
Support of problem resolution associated with fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and mathematical modeling and simulation to develop system definitions/architectures and perform trade studies (includes integration with interfacing engineering disciplines model based design tool sets)
