Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support a large-scale data transformation program for a financial services client. This role focuses on data mapping, profiling, validation, and testing, along with documenting business requirements and supporting UAT.

You will work closely with data, technology, and business teams to ensure accurate and efficient data migration from current to target state systems.

Key Responsibilities

Perform data mapping from current to target state ensuring accuracy and consistency
Conduct data profiling and compare datasets across source and target systems
Support data validation and testing activities, including execution of test plans
Document business requirements, user stories, and testing scenarios
Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking issues and resolutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful data transformation delivery

Required Skills & Experience

Experience with SQL and Python for data analysis and validation
Understanding of data mapping, profiling, and transformation concepts
Ability to clearly document requirements, user stories, and test cases
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Ability and willingness to work onsite in McLean, VA (5 days/week)

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to financial services or regulated environments
Experience supporting data migration or transformation programs
Familiarity with UAT coordination and stakeholder communication
