Position Summary

As the Technical Lead on our Network Strategy team you will be the driving force behind the design, deployment, and ongoing sustainment of our semiconductor-centric LAN, WAN, datacenter, and cloud networking fabric. You will own every layer of the network stack-from routers, firewalls, and switches to VPN appliances, cabling, and all associated hardware-ensuring that each element delivers the high-availability, security, and scalability required to support our silicon-fabrication and research workloads.

Your role will also encompass providing technical leadership to the operations team, rigorously reviewing design, development, and implementation proposals to keep day-to-day activities in sync with our long-term strategy. You will be accountable for constructing multi-year and annual capacity budgets, balancing performance, cost, and risk across all platforms. By continuously evaluating emerging networking technologies, you will craft a forward-looking roadmap that aligns evolving capabilities with business objectives, ensuring the organization remains positioned for next-generation innovation.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Define and steer the overarching architectural strategy for semiconductor LAN, WAN, data-center, and cloud networks, ensuring alignment with business goals and security policies.
  • Lead multi-vendor operations teams, providing executive guidance on solution design, development, and deployment.
  • Own multi-year and annual capacity budgeting for all platforms, coordinating with finance to forecast spend and ROI.
  • Champion large-scale infrastructure initiatives-expansion, replacement, and upgrade projects-driving scope, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Establish network requirements, architectural frameworks, and design standards that meet regulatory and operational expectations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, assess impact, and craft a long-term technology roadmap to future-proof the organization.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:
  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
  • Certification or advanced expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, F5 / A10, and other networking technologies.
  • 15+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise and data-center networking, with deep expertise in LAN/WAN, cloud, and semiconductor-centric environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and concepts such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, BGP, VPC, HSRP, VRRP, mLACP, MLag, VRF, PBR, IPv4 Subnetting, VSS, IGMP, PIM, Anycast-RP, MSDP, 802.1x, EAP-TLS, PEAP-MSCHAPv2, TACACS+, SYSLOG, QoS, Cisco IOS and NX-OS, EVPN, Vxlan.
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional teams, steering large-scale networking projects from concept through production.
  • Strong financial acumen to build and manage multi-year capacity budgets, demonstrating the ability to balance performance, cost, and risk.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, able to translate technical details into actionable business insights.
