Summary

Introduction

The Imaging Engineering Intern role supports ASML's mission to advance lithography technology through innovative software and imaging solutions. You will work with experienced engineers to evaluate advanced deep ultraviolet (DUV) and extreme ultraviolet (EUV) imaging concepts, perform feasibility studies, and contribute to software solutions that help customers tackle increasingly complex semiconductor manufacturing challenges. This internship provides valuable exposure to computational lithography, imaging algorithms, simulation technologies, and product development in a collaborative engineering environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

As a Imaging Engineering Intern, you will support imaging product engineering activities focused on computational lithography and advanced scanner technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate new concepts, develop software capabilities, and generate data-driven insights that support future product innovation.

  • Conduct feasibility studies related to advanced DUV and EUV imaging technologies.
  • Support computational lithography investigations through modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
  • Perform prototype testing and generate technical data to evaluate imaging concepts and software features.
  • Develop and enhance software functionality that meets customer requirements and product specifications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides and engineering reports.
  • Analyze simulation results and communicate findings to engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, imaging specialists, and product teams to support ongoing development efforts.

Education and Experience
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Optical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Junior, senior, or graduate-level student.
  • Experience through coursework, research, academic projects, or internships related to imaging, lithography, simulation, software development, or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with technical computing tools such as Python, MATLAB, or similar programming environments.
  • Exposure to machine learning, optimization methods, scientific computing, or data analytics is preferred.
