Summary

Job Overview:

The Hardware Verification & Validation Engineer, under general direction, will scope, define, develop, analyze and supervise tests for appliance components, subsystems or products. The Hardware Verification & Validation Engineer will collaborate with multi-functional team members and assume responsibility for developing design validation plans, test protocols, and test equipment for both new product development and improvement of existing product lines. The Hardware Verification & Validation Engineer leverages broad technical experience and analytical skillsets to make decisions based on accurate, statistically significant datasets. The position requires proficiency with risk assessment and root cause analysis methods, data analytics and statistics, agile project management, and an understanding of thermo-fluidic and electro-mechanical devices and systems. Comfort working in a highly dynamic and collaborative work environment is a must.

What you will do:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of customized test equipment, fixtures, methodologies, and instrumentation to deliver results that inform and validate product design decisions
  • Write, qualify and implement test procedures and documentation validating performance, reliability, and robustness of product designs across subcomponent, subsystem and system levels
  • Develop and apply automated test methods and data acquisition tools when appropriate to replace manual processes
  • Author, review and circulate test reports. Compare and interpret results of tests against specifications and/or historical data. Ensure validity and completeness of test data and reports and solve testing problems as they arise
  • Oversee testing contracted to third party laboratories including training, auditing and certification of data integrity and adherence to test protocols
  • Build connections to foster communication with key technical leaders and team members to ensure testing and validation plans support future product roadmaps
  • Continually assess and recommend efficiency, speed or capability improvements to engineering labs in response to shifting program or organizational needs
  • Support FMEA events and drive risk mitigation strategies to reduce cost, technical or schedule risk through design, modeling or testing activities
  • Promote application of test results back to design improvements that eliminate failure modes and increase reliability, quality, functionality or other attributes
  • Engage and interact with test technicians to educate on new and existing test protocols and equipment
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with established Safe Work Practices, Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management Systems
  • Follow all Keurig policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Total Rewards:
  • Salary Range: $76,400 - $105,000
  • Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
  • Benefits, subject to election and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off (including paid parental leave, vacation, and sick time), 401k with company match, Tuition Reimbursement, and Mileage Reimbursement
  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Engineering or a related technical degree
  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a consumer products development role
  • Self-motivated and results oriented approach
  • Experience working in a cross-functional collaborative environment
  • Continuous improvement mentality
  • Ability to multitask and maintain focus on priorities
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, etc.
  • Up to 10% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis using systematic problem solving methodologies.
  • Experience in lean product development. Six Sigma, Certified Quality or Reliability Engineer or equivalent certification highly desired.
  • Statistical software: JMP or Minitab, etc.
  • Experience managing technical projects in the consumer product or similar industry
