Java Developer(ACH/Wire)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full‑Stack Engineer whose core strength and deepest expertise is Java + Spring Boot. This role is ideal for someone who has spent the majority of their career building high‑performance Java and Spring Boot microservices and architecting backend systems at scale.

Angular, SQL Server, and AI‑powered development tools (Windsurf, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.) are important, but Java + Spring Boot are the foundation of this role.

Experience integrating pricing/calculation engines and exposure to ACH/Wire payment workflows is a strong plus.

🚀 Primary Responsibilities (Java + Spring Boot First)

Backend Engineering (Top Priority)

• Architect, design, and implement Spring Boot microservices
• Build scalable, secure, and resilient backend services
• Optimize Java/Spring Boot applications for performance and reliability
• Lead backend design discussions and enforce Spring Boot best practices
• Integrate external systems (pricing engines, calculation engines, APIs)

Full‑Stack Responsibilities

• Build responsive UI components using Angular
• Design and optimize SQL Server schemas, stored procedures, and queries
• Use AI‑driven developer tools to accelerate development
• Collaborate with product, QA, and architecture teams
• Participate in code reviews, architecture sessions, and Agile ceremonies

Required Qualifications

• 12 + years of professional software engineering experience
• Expert‑level proficiency in Java + Spring Boot (must be the strongest skill)
• Strong hands‑on experience with:
• Microservices architecture
• Angular 2+
• SQL Server (query tuning, schema design, stored procedures)
• Experience with AI‑powered development tools (Windsurf, Claude, Copilot, etc.)
• Proven experience integrating external service providers (REST/SOAP/APIs)
• Ability to work onsite 3 days/week in Pittsburgh or NYC
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• ACH payment processing experience
• Wire transfer or financial transaction platform experience
• Knowledge of payment regulations and financial workflows
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and containerization
