This role specifically supports the Illinois market, with work occurring across Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana, and occasional nationwide travel.
Position Summary
The organization is seeking an experienced Lead DAS Technician to support advanced DAS installations, troubleshooting, testing, and field leadership within a small two-person team. This role requires strong technical depth across RF/DAS systems, OEM platforms, power systems, and hands-on problem solving.
The Lead Technician will:
  • Oversee workstreams and small crews
  • Interface with contractors and customers
  • Perform advanced testing and troubleshooting
  • Support new builds, existing campuses, hospitals, schools, stadiums, and public-safety environments

Travel may include overnight stays (up to four nights at a time). A company vehicle is provided, and hotels/flights are covered. Per diem is $65/day.
Technical Scope
Work includes installation and support of:
  • DAS and low-voltage systems
  • Public safety systems
  • Fiber and coax infrastructure
  • ODAS/IDAS deployments
  • 1/2" coax
  • OEM platforms such as: JMA, ADRF, SOLiD, Comba/Somba, SpiderCloud, Ericsson systems & radios

Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, typically 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Standard 40-hour work week with opportunities for overtime
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders and in commercial, hospital, government, and public-safety environments

This is a long-term, full-time opportunity, beginning as a 6-month contract-to-hire with a strong history of conversion.
Top Skills Required

Lead DAS Technician

  1. 3+ years of DAS, RF, CO/WAP, or related low-voltage telecom experience
  • DAS experience is required
  1. 2+ years of leadership experience
  • QC/QA, vendor management, project leadership, reporting, overseeing small teams
  1. Strong troubleshooting and testing background, including:
  • JDSU testing
  • Anritsu
  • PIM/Sweep testing
  • Fiber testing

Bonus Skills:

  • Understanding of DAS design principles

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schaumburg, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
