Summary

GPO’s mission is to keep America Informed as the official, digital, and secure source for producing, preserving, and distributing official Federal Government publications and information products for Congress, Federal agencies, and the American public. As an IT Specialist at our state-of-the-art facility in Stennis, Mississippi, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing other agencies with innovative services for the printing, publishing, storage, and distribution of digital content.

Responsibilities included:

Supports all IT systems (Formscan, Oracle, etc.) associated with the manufacturing and assembly of E-passports and related product lines; also serves as a technical specialist in the use of various Manufacturing Execution Systems related to software.
Reviews and recommends improvements to the current E-Passport production, Waste processing Center, and Return Book Processing Center processes as they relate to IT technology.
Leads data archiving and data mining efforts, and creates reports to expose meaningful trends, etc., for return, supplier, production throughout, and waste.
Develops, implements, and documents the systems related to the supply chain management, raw goods and work in progress, and finished goods tracking, manufacturing, processing, assembly, packaging, and distribution of E-Passports.
Designs and maintains Oracle inventory control and chip-tracker IT architecture for E-Passports. Ensures logical and physical database management appropriate for E-Passports and related products
