Job Details

The Assistant Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This role combines operational execution with process improvement, partnering closely with leadership to build scalable accounting processes that support a fast-growing business.

What You'll Do
  • Lead daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash management, and general ledger activities.
  • Drive accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members while establishing accountability and performance standards.
  • Review and approve accounting transactions, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with GAAP.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Partner with leadership on financial reporting, audits, compliance requirements, and operational initiatives that support company growth.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or people management responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and operational accounting functions, including AP, AR, and General Accounting.
  • Experience working within ERP systems and advanced proficiency with Excel.
  • A hands-on, detail-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred
  • CPA designation.
  • NetSuite experience.
  • Demonstrated success improving close processes, accounting accuracy, automation, or operational efficiencies.
