Job Description:
Required Skills (8-10 yrs of exp.)
1. Expert knowledge of enterprise storage platforms, including: Dell PowerMax, Dell PowerStore, Dell Unity, Dell Isilon / PowerScale, Dell XtremIO, Dell VPLEX, Dell VPLEX Witness, Dell RecoverPoint, IBM FlashSystem, and Pure Storage FlashArray
2. Expert knowledge of enterprise data protection platforms, including: Dell Avamar, Dell Data Domain, Dell Data Protector, Dell Data Protection Advisor (DPA), and Dell NetWorker Management Console (NMC)
3. Advanced knowledge of storage management and monitoring tools, including: Dell AppSync, Dell InsightIQ, Dell SRM, Dell Solutions Enabler, Dell Secure Connect Gateway (SCG), and Dell Unisphere for PowerMax
4. Advanced/Expert knowledge of storage networking technologies, including: Brocade Fabric OS (FOS), SANnav, Fibre Channel fabrics, Zoning and SAN administration, and SSL Certificate Automation
5. Expert knowledge of Python development and automation.
6. Beginner knowledge of Powershell development
7. Advanced knowledge of C# and .NET application development, including: Windows Services and REST API development
8. Intermediate knowledge of SQL Server, including: Query development, Stored procedures, and Data analysis and reporting
9. Advanced knowledge of REST APIs, SDKs, and CLI administration across enterprise storage and backup platforms.
10. Strong understanding of: SAN architecture, Storage provisioning, Capacity management, Performance analysis and Backup and recovery
11. Expert technical writing and documentation skills.
12. Demonstrated ability to learn large storage and backup environment within weeks and begin contributing on Day 1 with minimal input from current storage architects and employees
13. Demonstrated ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems with little or no outside assistance.
14. Experience with HashiCorp Vault and CyberArk Vault solutions and their APIs
Responsibilities
1. Inventory System Development
(1) Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of a centralized enterprise storage inventory system, (2)Develop integrations between the inventory platform and enterprise infrastructure using Python, Ansible, REST APIs, SQL databases, and automation frameworks, and (3) Support the integration of inventory management processes with Python-based orchestration and Ansible automation workflows.
2. Storage Automation & Process Improvement
(1) Develop and maintain Python scripts, Ansible playbooks, and C# services to automate storage, backup, recovery, monitoring, provisioning, and reporting processes utilizing and integrating with inventory database/system once fully developed, (2) Identify manual operational activities and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency, consistency, and accuracy, (3) Create automated workflows for storage provisioning, capacity management, compliance validation, inventory collection, backup reporting, and health monitoring, (4) Develop integrations using vendor APIs, SDKs, and CLI utilities to streamline administration of Dell, IBM, and Pure Storage platforms, (5) Assist with the development of reusable automation frameworks and standards across storage and data protection environments and (6) Support testing, validation, deployment, and maintenance of automation and orchestration solutions in production environments.
3. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
(1) Develop and maintain clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation for automation processes and (2) Ensure all new automation solutions, Python scripts, Ansible playbooks, C# applications, APIs, and infrastructure implementations include complete technical and operational documentation.

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
