SAP ABAP AMS

Introduction:

As a SAP ABAP AMS specialist, you will be responsible for leading the delivery and operations of SAP ABAP Application Management Services (AMS). This role involves ensuring SLA compliance, providing high-quality technical support, and collaborating with offshore teams for seamless service delivery. Additionally, you will play a key role in transition management during AMS transitions, providing technical expertise in SAP ABAP development and integration with EWM and PP modules.

Responsibilities:

 AMS Delivery & Operations:

• Lead SAP ABAP AMS delivery to ensure SLA compliance and high-quality technical support.
• Manage incident, problem, change, and release management activities aligned with ITIL standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring technical issues.
• Ensure stability and performance of SAP custom developments (WRICEF objects) across the landscape.
• Collaborate with offshore ABAP team for seamless service delivery.
• Act as the primary onsite ABAP lead during AMS transition, ensuring complete knowledge transfer from incumbent teams.
• Validate and document existing custom developments, interfaces, enhancements, and technical configurations.
• Identify gaps, technical debt, risks, and dependencies in the incoming scope.
• Drive stabilization phase and ensure smooth transition into steady-state support.

Requirements:

Required Skills:

Data extraction, conversions, and integration touchpoints with PP/EWM transactions

• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development and support.
• Experience with WRICEF objects, CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA-based development.
• Experience with SAP PP and SAP EWM modules from an ABAP integration perspective.
• Knowledge of IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData services, SAP Gateway, APIs, and third-party system integrations.
• Ability to perform debugging and troubleshooting of technical issues related to PP and EWM modules.
