Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA PMMO / GPD Subject Matter Expert (SME) Lead to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program for a US-based Aerospace & Defense organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA Project Manufacturing Management and Optimization (PMMO), Grouping, Pegging and Distribution (GPD), Finance (FI/CO), and Manufacturing processes.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP solutions supporting complex, project-based manufacturing environments. This role requires strong solution architecture, functional consulting, material costing, and customer-facing consulting experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA PMMO and GPD solutions for complex project-based manufacturing environments.

• Design and implement GPD strategies, including Grouping, Pegging, and Distribution.

• Provide functional and solution architecture expertise across SAP S/4HANA Finance, Manufacturing, and Project Systems.

• Design and optimize material costing processes using SAP PMMO/GPD.

• Support Plan-to-Perform business processes and ensure seamless integration with SAP PMMO.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, manufacturing teams, and technical teams to translate business requirements into SAP solutions.

• Design financial planning, cost management, and performance management processes for manufacturing projects.

• Integrate SAP and non-SAP data sources, including SAP S/4HANA and Deltek Costpoint.

• Ensure SAP solutions align with Aerospace & Defense industry requirements and applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements.

• Conduct workshops, solution demonstrations, design reviews, and provide recommendations to client stakeholders.

• Support solution configuration, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP FI/CO solution experience, particularly in material costing.

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA PMMO.

• Proven experience designing and implementing GPD (Grouping, Pegging, and Distribution) solutions.

• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance and Manufacturing processes.

• Experience with SAP Project Systems and project-based manufacturing.

• Strong understanding of material costing and financial integration in manufacturing environments.

• Experience working on complex manufacturing transformation or implementation programs.

• Excellent client-facing consulting, communication, and solution design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace & Defense industry experience.

• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA CO.

• Knowledge of SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM).

• Experience integrating SAP with Deltek Costpoint.

• Oil & Gas industry experience.

Important Requirement

Candidates must have hands-on SAP S/4HANA PMMO and GPD implementation experience, particularly involving material costing and project-based manufacturing.

General SAP FICO, SAP Integration, or SAP BTP experience alone will not meet the core requirements.
