Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Developer with extensive, hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot to accelerate our development cycles, improve code quality, and modernize our tech stack.

Responsibilities & Skills: 

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications within the Microsoft ecosystem, with a specific focus on maximizing productivity through AI-powered development tools. Your expertise with GitHub Copilot will be crucial in streamlining workflows, from initial code generation and debugging to testing and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

·        AI-Assisted Coding: Extensively utilize GitHub Copilot and GitHub Copilot Chat within Visual Studio or VS Code to generate, refactor, and optimize code across various projects.

·        Code Quality & Testing: Leverage Copilot for writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, identifying missing coverage, and ensuring high code quality and consistency across the codebase.

·        Documentation & Code Review: Use AI tools to automatically generate documentation from code and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback during code reviews, focusing on meaningful architectural feedback rather than minor syntax issues.

·        Modernization & Debugging: Employ GitHub Copilot''s capabilities to assess and modernize legacy applications, handle dependency updates, and debug complex issues efficiently.

·        Azure & Microsoft 365 Integration: Develop and integrate solutions across the Microsoft stack, potentially using tools like Copilot for Azure to manage infrastructure or Copilot in Power Apps/Automate to build custom workflows.

·        Collaboration & Best Practices: Drive best practices for AI-assisted development, mentoring peers and establishing guidelines for effective and responsible use of generative AI in software engineering

Key Skills:

·        Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer(preferably  within the Microsoft ecosystem).

·        Extensive GitHub Copilot Experience: Proven, hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot as a daily "AI pair programmer" in a professional setting.

·        Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in relevant languages and frameworks (e.g., C#, .NET, JavaScript).

·        Microsoft Stack: Experience with Microsoft platforms and products (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, or Power Platform).

·        Development Practices: Solid understanding of software engineering principles, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and issue tracking.

·        Good to have: Professional experience as a Software Developer within the Microsoft ecosystem.
