Java Developer

Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Java Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design and build scalable backend systems, own critical services, and collaborate across teams to ship high-quality software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Take end-to-end ownership of backend features, from system design through production deployment
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a strong focus on code quality and peer reviews
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA teams to deliver reliable solutions
• Optimize database queries and data models for performance and scalability using MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents, performance bottlenecks, and system failures
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture discussions, and sprint planning

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in Java backend development
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and best practices
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL query optimization
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle and version control using Git
• Understanding of microservices architecture and service communication patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with message brokers such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
• Knowledge of caching strategies using Redis or similar technologies
