Job Title: Systems Engineer – Automic Automation
Employment Type: 12-Month W2 Contract
Location: Hybrid – Celebration, FL (2 Days Onsite / 3 Remote)
Pay Rate: $85–$92/hour (DOE)
Overview
Russell Tobin is partnering with a global leader in hospitality and entertainment technology to hire a Systems Engineer – Automic Automation. This role supports enterprise automation platforms powering critical operations across maritime and shoreside environments.
You’ll work in a large-scale infrastructure environment focused on workflow automation, optimization, and cloud migration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support Automic workflows for enterprise business processes
- Optimize workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Migrate workflows from on-prem environments to cloud platforms
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash
- Integrate workflows with ServiceNow and monitoring tools
- Document workflows and operational processes
- Partner with application and infrastructure teams
- Implement best practices in job scheduling and automation
Environment
- ~10 Automic instances
- 400+ enterprise workflows
- Hybrid maritime & shoreside operations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years supporting Automic Automation Engine or similar schedulers (e.g., JAMS)
- 5+ years in Systems Engineering / IT Infrastructure
- Windows Server & Linux (RHEL) expertise
- Strong troubleshooting and systems analysis skills
- Knowledge of OS-level systems & infrastructure architecture
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Automation-first mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Maritime or cruise industry experience
- Active Directory administration
- Advanced PowerShell/Bash scripting
- ServiceNow integrations
- Enterprise monitoring platforms
- Large-scale Automic environments

Education
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field —or equivalent experience
