Job Description
The GREF Maximo Technology Architect will be responsible for defining, designing, and governing the end-to-end technical architecture for IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS9) implementations supporting Global Real Estate & Facilities operations. The architect will ensure scalability, performance, security, and integration with enterprise systems while aligning with organizational IT standards.
The role requires deep expertise in IBM Maximo MAS9, Red Hat OpenShift (RHOS), and hyperscaler cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) along with strong experience in enterprise asset management (EAM) architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Design and implement enterprise architecture for IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS9) deployments.
- Define scalable and resilient architecture using Red Hat OpenShift (RHOS) and container-based platforms.
- Develop reference architectures and technical standards for Maximo implementations.
- Provide architectural leadership for facilities, asset, maintenance, and space management solutions.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Architect Maximo deployments on hyperscaler cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability of the Maximo platform.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and deployment strategies.
Integration & Enterprise Systems
- Design integrations between Maximo and enterprise applications such as:
- ERP systems
- Asset management platforms
- IoT and building management systems
- Data and analytics platforms
- Define integration patterns using REST APIs, middleware, and event-driven architecture.
Governance & Best Practices
- Establish architecture governance, standards, and design patterns for Maximo.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, compliance, and IT policies.
- Conduct architecture reviews and technical design validations.
Performance & Optimization
- Ensure system performance tuning, scalability, and reliability.
- Optimize database, infrastructure, and application performance for large-scale implementations.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to development, infrastructure, and support teams.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Skills
- 10+ years of IBM Maximo experience
- Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS9)
- Strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift (RHOS) and container-based architectures
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
