We are seeking an experienced AIX Administrator to manage, maintain, and support IBM AIX servers in a large-scale enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, patch management, and ensuring high availability of critical business applications running on AIX platforms. Technical Skills –
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain IBM AIX operating systems.
- Manage IBM Power Systems, including LPARs, VIOS, and HMC.
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Install and upgrade AIX OS, technology levels, service packs, and security patches.
- Configure and maintain file systems, storage, NFS, and SAN environments.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security compliance.
- Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, and application-related issues.
- Work closely with application, database, storage, and network teams to resolve incidents.
- Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.
- Prepare and maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Experience with PowerHA cluster administration.
- Knowledge of storage technologies, SAN, and virtualization concepts.
- Experience in system patching, upgrades, and security hardening.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Architect Red Hat Satellite Server, managing content views, lifecycle environments, activation keys, and capsule servers for enterprise-wide RHEL patching
- Develop Ansible Playbooks and Roles to automate day-to-day sysadmin workflows, user provisioning, disk expansions, and ad-hoc infrastructure changes
Other Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in managing Unix servers including AIX, Linux, Solaris
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex Unix environment issues.
- Utilize Tanium modules (such as Patch, Comply, and Discover) for real-time asset visibility, vulnerability assessment, and file integrity monitoring.
- Hands-on expertise building infrastructure with Ansible, managing Red Hat Satellite, and securing endpoints with Tanium
- Knowledge of data center operations and best practices.
- A team player with a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and comply with business processes and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams between onshore and offshore.
The pay range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
