Manager, SaaS Operations and Vendor Management

We are seeking a Manager, SaaS Operations and Vendor Management to bring structure, visibility, and strategic ownership to the software ecosystem that powers our organization. This role oversees how the company procures, governs, and optimizes its SaaS portfolio—ensuring the right tools are in place at the right cost, with appropriate controls and governance.
As a key member of our operations team, you will manage vendor relationships, lead contract strategy and renewals, and drive licensing optimization. You’ll play a pivotal role in building a centralized system of record for enterprise software, partnering closely with IT, Security, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders to create a scalable and efficient SaaS environment that supports company growth.
Key Responsibilities
SaaS Strategy & Vendor Management

Lead end-to-end software procurement, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and renewals.

Develop and own vendor relationship and contract strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Optimize SaaS spend through strategic license management, pricing analysis, and usage evaluation.
SaaS Governance & Operational Management

Build and maintain a centralized SaaS inventory and license management system.

Establish governance standards, lifecycle management frameworks, and approval workflows.

Develop reporting and documentation that enhances visibility into software usage, cost, and compliance.
Cross-Functional Partnership

Partner with IT, Security, Finance, and Legal teams to align software investments with business needs and risk frameworks.

Oversee vendor onboarding, compliance, and lifecycle governance.

Provide data-driven insights and ROI analyses to support software-related decision-making.
Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, business operations, consulting, legal, finance, or enterprise IT.

Experience reviewing, negotiating, or structuring commercial agreements and pricing models.

Proven ability to develop and formalize operational processes such as governance frameworks and approval workflows.

Strong financial and analytical acumen, with experience evaluating SaaS spend, usage data, and ROI.

Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing executive-level summaries and documentation.

Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally with IT, Security, Legal, and Finance.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with procurement management tools (e.g., Zip) or similar SaaS management platforms.

Familiarity with SaaS inventory or spend management systems.

Exposure to information security or compliance requirements in enterprise technology environments.

Experience partnering with Legal on contract standardization and risk mitigation.

Knowledge of SaaS pricing models, vendor negotiations, and license optimization.

Background in high-growth technology organizations with complex SaaS ecosystems.

Prior ownership of enterprise SaaS procurement, renewals, or license optimization initiatives.
