Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in Natural/Adabas to support modernization and enhancement initiatives within a legacy pension and payroll system environment.

The selected candidate will contribute to system upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance activities, ensuring high performance and reliability of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Natural and Adabas
  • Support modernization efforts for legacy systems and implement new functionality
  • Work on payroll and retirement-related system enhancements
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation using standard tools
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to gather and clarify requirements
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing regarding project updates and deliverables
  • Lead or support project activities, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in Natural programming
  • Hands-on experience with Adabas database
  • Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language)
  • Experience working with TSO/ISPF
  • Prior experience leading or contributing to project delivery
  • Experience with documentation using MS Word and MS Excel
  • Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge or experience with Java
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases
