NOTICE OF JOB OPPORTUNITY

TITLE: Security Engineer (4)

Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders and to enhance device security and user privacy by working with software and hardware teams. Design and build security solutions to facilitate secure manufacturing of Spectacles. Research, design and develop cutting edge security features to enhance the security posture for Spectacles by utilizing strong software development and architecture skills with emphasis on Linux/Android and trustzone-based security. Improve infrastructure for fuzzing and automate security validation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Master of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Privacy Engineering, or closely related field plus three (3) years of experience in Security Engineering or closely related experience; OR Bachelor of Science or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Privacy Engineering, or closely related field plus five (5) years of experience in Security Engineering or closely related experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Knowledge and/or experience in:

Embedded software development and architecture skills with emphasis on Linux/Android and trustzone-based security.
C/C++ skills.
Experience with Rust.
Experience with Isolation, Trust zone authentication, Verity, Secure File system, secure memory and buffer management, Linux Security (SeLinux), root of trust, key generation, Key management, secure cloud, Biometrics, Cryptography.
Experience in Hardware/Software Threat Modeling.

OTHER: Job Site: Specs Inc., 3721 Valley Centre Drive, San Diego, CA 92130. *Hybrid work permitted - Specs practices a "default together" approach and expects our team members to work in the San Diego, CA office at least 80% of the time (an average of 4 days per week). 40 hours/week. Base salary: $163,717 - $235,000 per year. This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs. Our Benefits: If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE.
