Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled IoT Engineer with 5+ years of experience. In this role, you will be instrumental in ingesting, integrating, and preprocessing data from external devices and systems. You will be working closely with device and integration engineers to map incoming telemetry to standardized hardware profiles, enabling real-time visibility and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design and maintain data ingestion pipelines from external devices using AWS IoT Greengrass and DCIM systems over MQTT.
•Collaborate with device and integration engineers to map raw telemetry from field devices to a unified, multi-technology asset data model.
•Build and manage AWS SiteWise asset models and telemetry configurations to digitally represent the assets.
•Support tiered alarm architecture development and deployment
•Develop and deploy serverless functions using AWS Lambda and stream processing pipelines via Amazon Kinesis to support real-time and predictive analytics.
•Containerize and deploy services using Docker/ECS on AWS infrastructure.
•Support integration with SCADA systems and RTACs for operational technology (OT) data pipelines across solar, wind, and storage assets.
•Contribute to portal data flows — enabling real-time dashboards, KPI trending, and automated reporting for asset owners.
•Write clean, maintainable code in Python and TypeScript.
•Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of IoT data flows from edge device to cloud platform.
Required Skills:
•5+ years of experience in IoT engineering or a closely related field.
•Hands-on experience with AWS IoT services — particularly Greengrass, SiteWise, and Kinesis.
•Strong proficiency in Python; working knowledge of TypeScript.
•Solid understanding of MQTT protocol and pub/sub messaging patterns.
•Experience working with SCADA systems and/or RTACs in industrial or automotive environments.
•Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration via AWS ECS.
•Understanding of asset models, telemetry schemas, and time-series data.
Good to Have:
•AWS Certification
•Familiarity with DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) platforms.
•Exposure to predictive analytics or ML-based anomaly detection on time-series telemetry data.
•Knowledge of edge computing patterns and Greengrass component development.
Job Description
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CDK, Terraform).
Understanding of SLD (Single-Line Diagram) data structures or electrical system modeling is a plus.
Familiarity with work order management or field service dispatch integration workflows.
